Our Story

Every meaningful business begins with a question. 
Ours started when two different paths converged around a shared curiosity: tax and finance teams are full of expertise but trapped in workflows built for another era. 
 
Coming from a technology background, one of us set out to understand this challenge at its core, stepping into tax with a clear vision to bridge two disciplines that rarely speak the same language. Over time, we came to share that vision, and the pattern became impossible to ignore. 
 
We kept seeing talented teams spend their best hours on manual steps: moving data between files, rolling forward workpapers, reconciling differences, and fixing inconsistencies during review. Tools evolved, deadlines tightened, and pressure grew, yet workflows remained manual. 
 
Then came the rapid rise of AI, accelerating automation and opening a real opportunity to modernize finance workflows. Organizations were eager to adopt new tools, yet many still struggled to translate potential into real impact: controlled, adopted, and sustainable.  
 
That’s why we founded KR8: to bring together tax expertise, business insight, and hands-on technology execution in a way that actually works. Not through buzzwords or surface-level tools, but through practical transformation grounded in real experience. We’ve built and implemented workflow solutions that turn hours of recurring work into minutes, designed with controls, documentation, and training. The result is less manual effort, more consistency, and more predictable delivery.
